The Pricing Analyst supports the firm’s pricing strategy by developing budgets, analyzing financial and matter data, and preparing fee arrangements that align with client needs and business objectives. This role partners closely with attorneys, business development professionals, finance, and other stakeholders to deliver data-driven pricing recommendations that enhance profitability, support competitive proposals, and promote consistent pricing practices across the firm.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop budgets, pricing models, and financial analyses in support of client proposals and fee arrangements.
  • Analyze historical and current financial data to identify pricing trends, profitability insights, and best practices.
  • Prepare and evaluate alternative fee arrangements, special rate structures, and other pricing solutions in response to client needs and RFPs.
  • Partner with attorneys and internal stakeholders to provide fee estimates, pricing guidance, and value-based recommendations.
  • Support competitive and market analysis by gathering, maintaining, and interpreting relevant pricing data.
  • Build knowledge of practice group economics and contribute to pricing strategies that support profitable growth.
  • Document and promote pricing and profitability best practices to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Review outside counsel guidelines and related requirements as needed to ensure pricing compliance.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Pricing and Legal Project Management team, Finance and Accounting, Business Development, practice leaders, and lawyers across the firm.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting pricing, profitability, or financial analysis in a professional services or law firm environment.
  • Familiarity with alternative fee arrangements, rate strategy, and client proposal support.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and critical thinking skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with databases or other data analysis tools.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and communicate findings clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams and locations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse business groups.
