The Chicago office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a leading national law firm, seeks a Litigation Counsel with 2 – 5 years of litigation experience, top quality writing skills and strong academic credentials. The ideal candidate will have experience with general defense litigation, including complex personal injury, and knowledge of litigation practice and procedures in state courts is required. The candidate must also have the ability to draft complicated opinions, motions, and legal memoranda in a clear and concise manner, and will also have a commitment to exceptional client service. Litigation Counsel role is a full-time salaried position. Litigation Counsel are expected to meet a 1700 annual billable hour requirement. They will be available to travel to client or team meetings as needed. This is not a partnership track position. To be considered, candidates must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and be in good standing with the Illinois Bar.
