Litigation Paralegal– San Francisco
Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a national law firm, currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal in our San Francisco office.
Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience in general civil, business, product liability and employment litigation who will perform a variety of duties including researching law, investigating facts, and preparing discovery and documents for attorneys according to established policies and procedures.
Essential functions include: utilizing knowledge of complex litigation to assist attorneys with trial preparation, continual review and management of case files, preparation of and responses to initial discovery, i.e. interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admissions, issuance of subpoenas and preparation of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, factual chronologies, medical chronologies, agreements, deposition abstracts/summaries and/or trial binders for use by attorneys.
Qualifications and Prior Experience
Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in any combination of general civil, business, product liability, construction and employment litigation, E-Filing experience in both State and Federal Court, strong communication and client service skills, a working knowledge of Relativity, internet software, Microsoft Office Suite programs, Adobe Acrobat Pro, LexisNexis, Pacer, Sanction, and TrialPad.
Candidates must meet the qualifications specified in §6450 of the California Business & Professions Code.
