FINANCIAL SYSTEMS ANALYST
Location: Flexible and in any state where the firm has an office.
Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a national law firm, currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Financial Systems Analyst. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package plus a 35 hour work week.
Position Summary:
As a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Systems Analyst you will play a critical part in supporting our financial operations by analyzing and optimizing our financial systems, generating insightful reports, and collaborating on the implementation of new financial technologies. You will work closely with our Senior Financial Systems Analyst to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and continual improvement of our financial data and reporting processes.
Essential Functions Include:
1. Analyze and troubleshoot issues within our financial systems, including Aderant Expert, Aderant BillBlast, and Intapp.
2. Write and execute SQL queries to extract and manipulate financial data from Aderant Expert.
3. Design and develop reports and dashboards using the financial dashboard system.
4. Interface with various financial applications to ensure data integrity and consistency.
5. Assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the new financial dashboard system.
6. Perform data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for financial improvement.
7. Reconcile financial accounts and ensure data accuracy.
8. Generate and maintain financial reports as needed.
9. Support the Senior Financial Systems Analyst with various financial system tasks.
10. Document financial processes and procedures.
11. Stay current with industry best practices and new financial technologies.
12. Maintain a strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
13. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
14. Collaborate with internal departments, such as accounting and IT, to ensure seamless financial operations.
15. Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications and Prior Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
3. Proven experience working with financial systems, such as Aderant or similar software.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques.
7. Working knowledge of financial accounting principles.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Ability to travel to the Firm’s other offices.
